Hi friends & family! These 10 busy months in Montana have flown
by! God is good! We survived our first
winter and are enjoying the beautiful spring & summer weather. Each day we are in awe of God’s
creation. His handiwork is all around
us!

As
most of you remember, we came to Montana for David to take the School of
Biblical Studies (SBS) at the Lakeside Youth With A Mission (YWAM) base. The school is 9 months long and the Bible is
studied intensively by reading cover to cover 5 times! David’s hard work has paid off and he
graduated June 26th! Way to
go Dave!

Despite
the chilly winters, we have decided to stay in Montana for 2 more years! God has called us to be full-time SBS staff
with the YWAM base here. This is our next
step in our calling to missions and an awesome opportunity of training and
discipleship for both of us! David’s
role will be teaching various books of the Bible in the SBS class, along with
grading papers, leading small groups, etc.
Ruth will have the opportunity to serve the SBS class with hospitality
and administration. We are excited to
teach others (mainly missionaries) and in the process learn more
ourselves! It is exciting to be
teaching those that will be sharing God’s word with the world!

We are currently packing up the
home we are renting to move onto the Lakeside YWAM base, a former Army
base. At first we will be placed in the
dorm rooms (temporarily we hope, we didn’t do well in college dorms the first
time around – yikes!) until a house opens up in early Fall. We are excited to live in community, eat in
the cafeteria, and build relationships!
There are many families on the base and lots of kids... yeah God!

As
full-time YWAM staff we are essentially “volunteers”. All of YWAM is run by volunteers who raise their own funding to
be able to serve. As a family of four
we will need approximately $1250/month to cover all of our expenses. This covers rent, food, health insurance,
utilities…all the basics. This means
that we need to “raise” our finances through friends, family, & churches
who would be willing to partner with us financially on this journey. We are putting everything we can into this,
but we are dependent on raising finances.

This is a very new way of living for us and

honestly not the most comfortable or secure for us. We trust God’s calling and know that His storehouses are bigger
than we can imagine! If you feel led to
partner with us financially – we would love it! We would be blessed by any amount big or small, monthly or one
time only! More than anything . . . we
would love your prayers, encouragement, and friendship!

This
summer we will pile into our wagon, along with Franky (our dachshund), and will
be driving to California to visit with many of you! We look forward to seeing your smiling faces, sunshine, beaches,
camping & catching up on what is happening in all of your lives as
well. The kids can’t wait to see their
friends & cousins too!

Words cannot express adequately how blessed we are to
have so many wonderful friends and family who support the journey God has us
on. We covet your prayers &
encouragement! May God return the
blessings to you a hundred fold!

Love,
hugs & blessings,
