Well, I was starting to get a few emails that were asking where we were and what we were up to and it made me realize I needed to send out and share some of the excitement of our lives!

First off, I graduated from the School of Biblical Studies! On the right is me holding my diploma. Whew! what a year. I am so happy I did it and yet so happy to be done. All I can say after poring over the bible for a year is that God is awesome and there is no way you can study his Word without realizing that an awesome God put it all together! As Dr. Youngblood (one of our teachers this year) put it "what other book can you study for a lifetime and still learn from it every day!" He is in his seventies and a co-author of the NIV bible. He is still learning after reading/studying the bible for a lifetime. That is just too cool.
So here is a shot of my loving family supporting me. Ruth has just finished her work at the Nursing Home, and now we are heading off to California to see friends and family before we come back to Montana in August to help staff the School of Biblical Studies here at YWAM. We are excited for what God has in store for us in the coming months and years.

I just laughed when I saw this picture.

Below is the family. We spent a week packing up the house with the help of my parents (oma and opa, THANK YOU!!!). Then we loaded up the car and took off camping in Canada for a few days. Wow! Is God's nature beautiful! We spent a day or two in Waterton, Glacier and Banff. Mostly we were just relaxing and enjoying the fact that we weren't studying or packing. Ahhhhh....

Ruth and Jessika also had the opportunity to take Oma out for tea for a belated Mother's Day. Below is a shot of them in their fancy tea hats. Opa and I were happy that it was just a girl thing once we saw this shot! But they had some great girl time.

After Banff we saw some great friends in Washington and now we made it down to Santa Cruz. We are here for the week saying "hi" to family and friends.

So God is good. We are enjoying the gifts he has given us this summer....friends, family, nature.... We hope you are too.

Please continue to pray for us for safe traveling. Also pray that we are able to get into a house very soon on the YWAM base. At the moment we are slated to stay in the dorms for two months before we get in a house. Let's pray that the two months shrinks down to two days! Also pray for wisdom and learning as we are going to be leading other students through the Bible this next year. Pray that God uses us to the fullest and that we are open and willing to serve him the best we can!

In Him,
Dave and Ruth and kids
