Wow, we had the best Christmas ever. We are now back in the swing of things here at school, teaching and grading and working with students, but I'll get to that after I show a few of the awesome times we had over Christmas.

-My parents came to visit for the week of Christmas to New Years and we had a ball with them. You can see Jonny on the left here. We stayed at a hotel with a really cool indoor water park. The slides were about 6 stories high and the kids must have climbed about 100 flights of stairs that day!

And of course we played cards every night. Had a great time....THANKS MOM & DAD.

Below are some shots of the family staying warm in the Jacuzzi while watching the snow falling outside.

Thanks to some Christmas generosity we have been able to take up a family hobby of skiing this winter. I have been able to teach the kids how to ski and Ruth has taken some snowboarding lessons. It is so great to be able to get out in the cold and exercise and play as a family.

The kids absolutely love skiing. They both just fly down the mountain. Here is a shot of Jonny after a good wipeout..skis sprawled everywhere........

But not to be outdone, Jessika came barrelling down and wiped out in the same spot. Notice on the left her ski sticking in the ground...that's just part of the wipe out. She even got some cheers from the people on the lift above us.

Both kids were fine and got right back up.

Jonny just looks like such a big boy here I had to throw this picture in. He was sad that he got stuck with the chore of vacuuming. Him and Jessika were fighting over who got to clean the toilet and he lost. Have you ever heard of two kids fighting over cleaning toilet? Pray for them.

And here is Jonny showing off at the bases quarterly "Welcome to Montana Night". We do all dress up and welcome the new students a few times a year. Of course the class I am teaching is 9 months long, so I'll be with the same students throughout the year.

However, Ruth has started teaching in a new class called Introduction to Primary Health Care (IPHC). She just did an awesome job teaching last Wednesday for 5 hours! Now she is studying again to teach next week! Of course, she does that while still helping out in SBS (Bible class) and still taking care of our family and house....what a woman. She is really enjoying helping out with the healthcare class.

I am studying to teach Exodus in a few weeks. I'm really excited to do it. It's such an awesome book from a historical and foundational perspective.

Prayer Points:
1)Thank God for a great Christmas break
2)Thank God that we are finally settling in here at the base. Last quarter was pretty crazy, moving, learning how to teach, fixing up our house, living in the dorms....Now we are breathing a sigh of relief
3)We are praying about the possibility of Ruth going on outreach with the Healthcare class. She could really help out a lot, but we only want to do it if it's God's will
4) Please pray for our teachings coming up this month. Ruth next week and me in 3 weeks.
5)Finances. We are working on our taxes and tallying up all the support we've been blessed with in the last year and we want to THANK EACH OF YOU that have supported us financially. It's amazing to see all that God has done through you. Somehow God takes care of every need as it arises.
6)Pray for the Bible students as this next quarter is a very tough quarter. In the next few weeks they study the following books: John, Revelation, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy....It's a lot of work.

I thought I should finish with a few cool pics of the kids. Here is Jess being held upside down by her gymnastics instructor. It's kind of a junky looking picture because I pulled it off a video. Actually I'll put the video at the bottom and you can try that if you like.

And then there's Jonny. I think this picture speaks for itself....
